2013 AJFF Selection Suggestions

In my role on the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival film selection committee, I am often asked which films I suggest people see.  Below is a list of my own recommendations:

  • A.K.A. Doc Primus (I didn’t pre-screen it, but the committee LOVED this one!)
  •  Broadway Musicals
  • Defiant Requiem
  • God’s Neighbors
  • Hava Nagila
  • Hitler’s Children (by far the most haunting documentary I have seen in a while)
  • It Is No Dream
  • Jerusalem on a Plate
  • Jews & Money
  • My Awkward Sexual Adventure (I didn’t see it but heard wonderful things)
  • My First Wedding
  • Out in the Dark
  • Room 514
  • Tiger Eyes
  • What’s In A Name
  • When Pigs Have Wings
  • The World Is Funny
  • Shorts Program #1

There are many others that I am planning to see for the first time, and, sadly, I won’t be able to make repeat screenings of many of these.  But, in all fairness, you can’t go wrong with ANY of the films in the festival this year.

Happy screening!
